The previous season's opening montage returned for this season and it's retained again, but with updated shots of Ashley Padilla and Jane Wickline for their promotion to repertory status. Additionally, longtime cast member Chloe Fineman was removed from the opening montage due to her leaving the show after the end of the previous season. First credits for new cast members Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter. Also, the musical guests/hosts' introductions clips of the opening montage for the season premiere of Season 52 of Saturday Night Live were changed to one (one singular clip for musical guests Katseye and host Jalen Brunson). The colors of the squares were changed to purple and orange. This also even the marked first "Behind the Scenes" footage set change from Cold Opening to the Monologue for the season premiere of Season 52 of Saturday Night Live presented by T-Mobile.
