The previous season's opening montage returns, but the "35 Years" card has been removed, while Abby Elliott and Bobby Moynihan have been promoted to repertory players. Added to the cast, as featured players, are Vanessa Bayer, Paul Brittain, Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah, and additionally, Will Forte and Jenny Slate are gone from the intro, since they had both left prior to the season. For the first episode of the season, Nasim Pedrad is accidentally credited before Taran Killam. Lastly, starting with this episode, announcer Don Pardo permanently pre-records his lines from his home in Arizona, which he would do for the rest of his life, until his death in 2014.
