After sounding sick in the previous episode, announcer Don Pardo is out this week, with laryngitis. So cast member Darrell Hammond filled-in for him, and did an actual impression of Pardo (unlike the last time Hammond filled in for him). This includes Hammond's Pardo announcing the over the top, “Ladies and gentlemen, JAMES VAN DER BE-HEE-HEE-HEEK!!!”
