Opening Montage

The opening montage is the same as in the previous two seasons. Mike Myers is not credited for the first 7 episodes of the season, as he was out filming a movie. Additionally, Victoria Jackson, Beth Cahill and Siobhan Fallon are gone from the intro, since they left the show prior to this season, Rob Schneider was upgraded to repertory status this season, and Melanie Hutsell was promoted to the middle cast group. This is also the first of many times that Jan Hooks is credited as a special guest. Lastly, starting with this episode, hosts are announced in the montage with the billing “And your host”, which would go on to be a tradition that continues to this day. (Before this episode, hosts were announced with the billing “And starring” from 1986-1992, and before that, hosts were usually announced with the billing “With host”, “With”, or “Starring”).
