After two seasons, a new opening montage has been introduced. Season 16 changed the cast videos again, though the music and overall style still remained unchanged. A notable addition was the middle cast category, with cast members introduced in the same style as repertory cast members. Longtime cast members Jon Lovitz and Nora Dunn are gone from the intro before the start of the season, and the first credits for Chris Farley and Chris Rock (who were added to the middle category, as featured players), who were hired in their place.
