The montage style changed again. The music changed to a tempo more like the original theme, but even more notably, like almost every theme SNL has used since. This version of the went with a faster pace (albeit keeping the slower music), showing still cast photos in rapid succession like the season 7-9 opening. (However, in reruns, this episode would have the intro that would be introduced in episode 5, and used for the rest of the season). The theme song used here would be used and reworked through 1994. The first credits for Joan Cusack, Robert Downey Jr., Nora Dunn, Anthony Michael Hall, Jon Lovitz, Dennis Miller, Randy Quaid, Terry Sweeney, Danitra Vance, and featured player Damon Wayans.
