Hozier was joined by a full band for the performance, which featured the song's signature retro-R&B groove. The performance came after "Too Sweet" became Hozier's biggest chart success, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier in the year. It was originally left off his 2023 album Unreal Unearth but gained immense popularity after being included on his 2024 EP, Unheard.
